Like any respectable kid growing up, I drew my very own super hero OC's. These girls' names are Beetle-Brawler(left) and Hornet Woman(right). Dear DC, I hope you can see this because I'm explaining their characters as hard as I can. Beetle Brawler, AKA Martha Tyler. A heavy-duty combat cyborg modeled after the predatory Warrior Beetle after a terrible plane crash. Built with heavy weaponry, Beetle is a proud soldier who loves to show off, bother her explosive armory, sturdy shell, and baby bump. Hornet Woman, AKA Morgan Vespa. Part of a government experiment to create a legion of animal-human hybrid soldiers in the name of ultra-capitalism. Though her grasps of moral reason is slippery and she often kills men who even mildly oppose her, Hornet is a skilled, if not unique fighter, as she not only snipes terrifically and rarelt if ever misses, she really is (chronically) pregnant and gives birth to drone-babies, ready to fly and ready to to do reconnaissance. Oh, and these two insects are lovers as well.

>>4808 That.... Is not the source that character is from. You were correct that is Tsuyu, but she's from Boku No Hero Academia, or My Hero Academia
>>5170 Yeah? What's the difference? Given that Disney tries to sell Marvel as "mature" and the the fact MHA characters are literally just X-men mutants with hardly any personality, I wouldn't be surprised if My Hero Academy become a show on Disney+. >>5207 BNHA is literally just an homage to/pastiche of Gold and Silver era(s) American comic book tropes. Look at All Might for fuck's sake. They're more alike than the rabid MCU-type adherents who eat this schlock up on the daily would ever care to admit. This is coming from someone who couldn't care less about either fandom, point of fact.

(152.30 KB 805x619 martha.png)
>>7736 Your wish is granted. Looks like someone really loves these insectoid heroines! ^u^ As for Beetle, well when she was escorted into a government facility after her plane crash(she used to be a military pilot), only her head, and parts of her arms were spared , including her womb. Martha Tyler AKA Beetle Brawler always enjoyed being flamboyant, and figured having a massive pregnant belly to increase sex appeal was the next step, though to due to her...modified physiology, insemination and delivery of her babies is carried out at Phoenix Labs, the same facility that cybernetically enhanced Beetle brawler.
>>8064 I also meant to include her abdomen as well, haha.

New Spider-Verse trailer just dropped: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shW9i6k8cB0
>>13765 Although I understand the purpose of this Chan, I still don't understand if it was really necessary for Jessica Drew's Spider-Woman to be pregnant in the film as it happened in the comics. If in itself it seemed risky that Peter put her baby at risk in a very risky adventure, many already considered it even more irresponsible in the comics that Jessica dedicated herself to still being a superhero during her state.

>>13769 Be cruel with all the best spider people
Black Cat (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ
>>4808 I think you got that wrong intentionally.
>>13767 >Superheroine takes time off because she's pregnant and doesn't want to endanger the fetus >Universe ends due to villain fuckery so the fetus is dead anyway. >But at least she was responsible.
>>14442 Is this movie actually going to be good. I loved the 1st one but given the recent string of awful marvel movies lately, Ive got no idea how I feel about it
>>13765 How stunning and brave of them to race swap Jessica.
>>14477 Technically there was already a black Spider-Woman before Jessica
>>14483 But she's a completely different character. Why didn't they use her instead?
>>14475 This is a Sony Marvel movie, not a Disney one. Not that the Sony movies have been better, but based on the trailer and how good the first one was, I think it'll be good.
>>14475 Based on all the shit we've seen from the trailers and the fact the film is a bloated mess at 2 hours and 30 minutes. I think it's safe to say the first film was a complete fluke they got lucky with.
>>15610 >2 hours and 30 minutes Yeesh. That's long for an animated movie... I'll still go see it though, since I liked the first one.
>>15608 I think I prefer the real Jessica Drew.
FYI I saw Across The Spider-Verse. Great movie, but not a lot of pregnancy content. She's not in the movie a lot, and her belly doesn't get any focus beyond this: >>15608. (Sometimes, it even looks like she's not pregnant. lol)
>>16246 I know it would be wrong to give spoilers, but at least they got a good context for her pregnancy in the film? Because ultimately it sparked an argument on reddit about how controversial and risky it was for Jessica's character to be pregnant. And I understand that in the comics her pregnancy arc was hated, so there should be an improvement or something to bring her pregnancy into Across the Spider-verse.
>>16259 Nope. She's just a pregnant Spider-Woman. lol
And they even threw away the single unique thing about the actual Jessica Drew, in that she was choosing to be a single mother from the start... What a letdown.
>>16269 True, the truth is that they could have used more and given a justification as to why her character in the film should be pregnant. While I understand that many here have a kink with the pregnancy, I feel that Jessica Drew was much more than just a Spider Woman who was pregnant.
They could have easily replaced her with another character. Plus, I couldn't tell if she was pregnant during the latter half of the film because between her introduction and her next appearance, Gwen mentions that she has been with the group for a couple of months, so I couldn't tell if she was still pregnant or had a post-partum body.

Some cool concept art for Jess Drew in "Across the Spider-Verse". She was going to be Asian, but when Issa Rae auditioned, they decided to make her black instead.
>>16859 Why couldn't they just make her look like her comic book version.
>>16860 The Asian one looks close to her comic book version.
>>16860 >>16861 Also the very first "spider-woman" was a black lady that got spider-man's costume. The spider-woman we know wasn't even part of the spider "family" until very recently with all the dozens of spider-man related characters now. But I'd have enjoyed having proper Spider-Woman on the movie because she's always overlooked and she actually had a pregnancy storyline not long ago too, so it would fit if they wanted the pregnancy aspect.
>>16859 They know they could have hired the voice actress and kept the character white right?
>>16870 Gotta make sure to fill the quota
>>16870 Practically every studio has a new rule that the voice actor needs to match the same ethnicity now.
>>16873 >We'll just ignore Phil Lamar and Cree Summers have been voicing characters outside their race for decades.
>>16865 A shame that story sucked. Hell, both of her runs sucked. Now I think on it, who on earth had the bright idea to give *Jess Drew* not one, but two seperate ongoings? She's never sold well, and it's a known fact that the only reason her first run went four years was because they needed a shelf-filler.
>>16865 >b-but the first Spider-Woman was black Completely different character. It's not like they whitewashed Valeria.
>>16905 *It's not like they whitewashed Valeria to make Jessica Drew. Should've added that
>>16905 >>16906 Your points are moot anyways because this version of spider woman would have been asian anyways. It would have changed her ethnicity anyways.

Imagine this situation, you are a Kaijin created by a criminal organization or a Kaiju come from space, both to subjugate humanity, but being brutally humiliated by a pregnant heroine who rides a motorcycle with a grasshopper helmet or a pregnant heroine the size of a large building that shoots laser beams. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Again, by me...

Even in the DCverse, "Cream-Pie" here would probably make people, well. Come like her. Name: Cream-Pie(real name Hilda Berykake.) Age: Heheh. As long as your old enough to read doujinshi ;) Powers: Can command globs of semen to slow down and incapacitate enemies. While being hit by flying goops of baby-batter hasn't really hurt anyone, even supervillains would elicit an "Ew!" response pretty quickly. Motivation: Make the dreams of couples come true and help them bring new life. Ironically enough, Cream-Pie herself is infertile. Her womb simply stores the sperm until use.
